Very similar to a golf ball with fins, the pearlscale goldfish has a severely shortened, rounded body with raised scales that have the appearance of tiny pearls. They may have a remnant of a wen on their head and come in a wide variety of colors. This breed has severe swimming difficulties and will require easily accessible food types to compensate for their lack of movement (examples include soaked dry pellets and flakes, freeze-dried food, live food, and vegetables like peas). A tank that’s 20-30 gallons is appropriate.
