Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae is a perennial herb native to Australia and New Zealand. It grows up to 30 cm tall and is found in wet places such as marshes, swamps, and along streams. It is also known as Micro Sword, Carpet Grass, or Micro Sword Grass. It is a green grass-like foreground plant that can form a beautiful grass cover in aquariums. It does not require CO2 injection or very high amounts of lighting, although it benefits from it.
