Neolamprologus pulcher is a species of cichlid endemic to Lake Tanganyika where it prefers locations with plenty of sedimentation. As it is in the same genius as the Brichardi, the only difference between the two species is that Neolamprologus brichardi has a black stripe running from its eye to its gill cover and a yellow spot just above it, both of which are absent in N. pulcher. The Daffodil Brichardi Cichlid captivates aquarists with its elegant, light tan body adorned with yellow hints and blue-tipped fins. Originating from Lake Tanganyika, this hardy fish displays a lyre-shaped tail and crescent markings behind icy blue eyes. Consequently, its graceful appearance and adaptability make it perfect for both novice and experienced hobbyists. Moreover, it thrives in groups, creating a stunning display in any aquarium.
