The Hi-fin Tiger Loach, (Myxocyprinus asiaticus) also known as the Chinese Hi-fin Banded Shark, can grow to be quite large. They can reach lengths of up to 80-90 cm, but 61 cm is more common. They grow quickly, reaching a length of about 20 cm in their first year and 50 cm by age three. They reach sexual maturity when they are 5-6 years old and at least 60 cm long.
